First day on the job and it was awesome! We were lucky enough to have some 3rd graders from Explorer come in and test out our escape room.
As i was talking to their teachers I discovered that they will be creating their own escape room as an end of the year project. It was so cool to be able to work with them and hear their feedback on the process. Each group got to do one side of the room and they loved it! I think one of my favorite parts was seeing how excited they would get after solving a puzzle and finding more clues, their faces lit up and they had so much energy.
By the end of the day I was pretty worn out from the loud screams and shrill laughter but I was happy that we were able to use them as sort of beta testers.
Later in the week we will be going full throttle with some classes from International doing the escape room. It will be very interesting because we have only done the escape room with younglings so far and I wonder how long it will take the older kids to solve it.
