Diana, Dr. Don, and Me :D
Dr. Don was our mentor during externship because it was his escape room however Justina Trusevich was also a part of our team. Sadly I don't have a picture with her yet, but I will post one soon!
Dr. Don was started out teaching chemistry, but three years ago he switched over to engineering. Through out the years he has done many projects, but none quite like this. The escape room was a last minute project built by his latest team over a period of three weeks. They decided to go with a Monsters Inc. Themed escape room that would be open during the month of May where students and teachers would be able to play it. He gave them a lot of authority with this project and it was very student led, though he did help them figure out puzzles and kept them accountable for their work. I believe that he really enjoyed this project and wants to see how much further he can go with it in the future.
Being apart of this escape room has led me to think more outside the box when I tackle projects later down the road. Not being a part of the design and build process was interesting in itself because i had to learn every puzzle, every step, and how to fix things that were broken or went awry. I think this experience will better my understanding of getting through different situations in the work place as well as in college, because I will have to predict outcomes and different possibilities of the way things will play out. I'm glad to have been able to work at the school and along side my friends because I will always remember the time I spent here with them.
